We like it when talented voice actors enhance the overall appeal of a video game, and even though she didn’t have a large role in the original Assassin’s Creed, she didn’t go unnoticed.
And now, as Joystiq reports, Kristen Bell has returned for the hotly anticipated sequel, set to launch in November. Bell, the extraordinarily cute and likable actress who portrayed the popular Veronica Mars character on TV, lent her voice to Lucy; the assistant in AC that helped operate the Animus device. Yeah, like we said, it wasn’t exactly a huge role, but perhaps she came back to do something more worthy of her resume. We know she’s Lucy again but we’re thinking that character may have a larger role in Assassin’s Creed II, especially because based on the ending of the first title (which we did not like), the designers have the possibility of extending Lucy’s role. We’re also wondering if there are other recognizable faces on the voice cast for this game; professional voice acting has become a hot commodity in the industry in this new generation, after all. There have been many fantastic titles that simply wouldn’t be the experiences they were without that primo voiceover work.
But anyway, the point here is that Kristen Bell is back and we’re happy. Veronica Mars won’t mess it up…we promise.
